One of the more compelling outcomes of monastic monks experimenting with herbs, spices and fruit throughout the middle ages: A mixture of grenadine and vanilla, a flavor combo we have grown enamored with and have come to call Monks blend in honor of the monastic traditions. In this variation of this wonderful tea we have added our all-natural flavoring to a superb white Pu Mai Tan from Fujian province in China. The resulting cup exhibits a full body drawn out with underlying notes of vanilla hinting at cream and round touches of pomegranate. Mass Market teas typically have a 5-6% antioxidant level. This tea has a high antioxidant level of 8.73%

Hot Tea:
- Boil water and let cool to 180F/80C
- Steep for 3 minutes (longer=stronger)
- Use approx. 1 tsp per cup
- To re-infuse use higher temperature/less time

Iced Tea:
- Pour 1 1/4 cups boiled water on 6 tsps of tea
- Steep for 5 minutes
- Pour into pitcher while straining leaves.
- For a quart of tea add ice & top w/cold water
- Garnish and sweeten to taste
